Adam Bacchus, Street I've been tagging along in costume behind my sister, Shar Bacchus, out
at fest since I was probably about 5 years old. In '99 I auditioned as
part of my sister's band, playing doumbek. I performed at the maypole
that year, and also in '00. In '01, my sis moved to California, and I
kind of took over the band... various people came and left over the next
few years, most notably Neil Pederson (guitarist) and Andrew Sundin (pipist).
After that, I worked at the crystal stix tent for a few years drumming
and/or giving free stix lessons. In '07, I played drums for Serpent Dancers
- Shades of Arabia (a.k.a. "those bellydancers with the snakes").
I graduated from the U of M with a BS in Computer Science in May '07,
and am now an official corporate slave. I'm always looking for people
to jam with or go snowboarding, so catch me online (or at fest) if you're
up for it. I play doumbek, djembe, recorder, guitar (mostly acoustic),
bass (electric), and drums (set). adambacchus@yahoo.com |

| Sharla Bacchus, Former Festie mad elaine, avren illian er, i believe i started in 1990 or 91; i was lucky enough to: perform
in master wormsworth's recorder entourage, work at the pavilion, perform
with feathers and lead and fiery waters and for ever-so-long at the maypole.
in the BLT, jay served me my first guinness (on the house -- thanks!);
in the chapel, i got me as close as i'll ever have been to married; in
the irish cottage, i first kissed a girl; following the morris dancers,!
i first sensed worship. the MRF was a huge part of my coming-of-age. i
currently live in california, where i eschew the ren faires because they
can't possibly be anything like Ours. avren occasionally pops up at home
sometimes, puffing (simultaneously) on a whistle and a cigar or tobacco
pipe, but 2000 was my last full year at the MRF. |

Wendy Bailey, Street Serenity Sweetkiss the Kissing Wench/Mac Pub Server I started doing festival way back in the 80's volunteering in the archery
booth when my mothers work owned it. Several years later I returned and
bought my own costume and began coming as a playtron and have done that
for the last 10 years at least. Finally this year 2004 I decided to be
an official character and am very excited! Over the years I have made
some WONDERFUL friends from renfest and I wouldn't give back any of it!
You can catch me in Macs Pub, or out wandering the streets! Dancing, singing,
and theatre are some of my favorite things to do!.. oh yeah.. and flirting!

Fran Baker (formerly
Becker) and Family, Bakery
Stage Francesca Maria Panini The three of us (well, me mostly) have slaved away at the Bakery Stage since 1994, doing our humble best to smooth the lives of the hard-working entertainers who grace our stage with their presence. And everyone will be pleased to note that after many years of diligent bed-hopping-er, searching- for the man with just the right name, I married Peter Baker (the poor fool) this winter. My new name is now, get this, Fran Baker! So now we have legitimate Bakers on the Bakery Stage. Cool, huh? So NOW who should inherit the bakery?

Let's see, I started in 1993 working the CKC hawking circuit as something
different to do. A year was enough. Then 2 yrs with the Fencing booth
as referee, blowhard, and general lackey (the Dread Friar Roberts still
brings a tear to my eye). And since then I have been working off indenturetude
with the fine folks at MacGregor games. Some day I will be free . . .

Michael (Mikey) Bastos, King of the Log Lord Bastos I am 39 and attended the Minnesota Ren Fest for years and always participated
in king of the log and won the championships. Finally in 2006 the participants
asked me to come aboard and be a part of the fluff. I started on paper
pass last year and worked the whole season. I have become a part of the
guild and will be a coordinator and will be getting my hard card pass
this year. I live in Eagan and am corperate sales in the building industry.
I plan to spend many more years at fest.I like to skydive and go caving
as well as many other extreme sports. I look forward to an AWESOME fest
season this year. |

My favorite spots of Festival are more sublime than my Morris dancing
would suggest - I love the labyrinth garden, the animal farm, and many
quite spots ideal for reading or sketching. And last but not least, I
enjoy the Mead booth after our last performance of over. |

Ronn Bauman, Stage Act Scaramouche, Tortuga Twins Ronn Bauman, (Scaramouche) was born in 1965. After a relatively normal childhood, and a brief stint in the US Navy, he decided it was much more fun to make people laugh for a living than to launch missiles at them from a submarine. With this in mind, he started doing comedy in 1989. Originally involved in a solo show as a juggler, he joined the Tortuga Twins in 1990. The Comic "point Man" of the group, he takes the responsibility as narrator, storyteller, and "heckler control" (as well as taking most of the blame ). A razor sharp wit and lighting fast comic reflexes have made him very unpopular in "Biker bars" throughout the country. Besides a funny Voice, and too much hair he brings to the group, skills like Juggling, Stage combat, Nuclear missile launching and is a darn fine Cook too. |
