| Kate Brabec, Shop Worker Kiss-Me-Kate I worked for my Grandfather, Stormin' Norman, he owned Ye Olde Rock Shoppe
(now Rainbow Rocks) in 1987 the last year he was at Fest. Now, I work
(sometimes) for my Uncle. When not selling belts, mugs and wallets, I
can be found wandering around the grounds or at the Queens Pub listening/singing
along (badly, off-key) to the Court Revelers. |
|
| Jason Braddock, Street John the Bludger I joined MRF in 2004. I won the Cracked Cup this year. I walk around
and play the fool. Much to the enjoyment of myself and hopefully some
patrons too. |

I officially joined the MRF this year, 2004, after just showing up and
helping the previous year. I can usually be found at the Hall of Masters,
unless I have been sent on another errand by Ladies Alicia or Christine.
I enjoy working with the many talented Crafters of the Fest, and promoting
the Master's Program. And even though I never stray from my errands for
my Ladies, I always enjoy watching the various street & stage acts
of the talented participants. |

Dayna Brennan, Musician I am a singer of Celtic song, and a character person as well, many might know me as the Lady attached to Adrian, the Chain Mail Cabbage Patch Doll (a.k.a. Chainmail Baby). If you do, please think kindly of me, we've all got our little schticks. Adrian joined me and my husband around 1995, when we began to come nearly every weekend as serious playtrons (haven't missed a year since 1975!). Since I was so often mistaken as a real participant, my friends at the fest finally convinced me to try for a contract, 2000 was my official rookie year. During the off-season, I rehearse, sew even more clothing and learn new songs, that is when I'm not practicing swordplay with my husband or working my mundane job as a Database Administrator. |

Tanya Brody,
Former Festie Tatiana Stewart I performed at MRF for 19 years as Tatiana Stewart - Harper and Songstress.
I was also a member of the Court Revelers and the Mayor's Entourage for
many of those years. I traveled the Festival circuit for 10 years and
am now happily married and living in Colorado for part of the year (which
means whenever we actually make it home) and spending the rest of the
year traveling as a professional musician doing Scottish Games, pubs,
concerts, coffee houses and the odd Renaissance Festival as part of The
Muses. Please feel free to check out our website to see where we will
be next. I still play the harp and the guitar (for those who remember
that far back) and I have added to that bohdran, hammered dulcimer, penny
whistle and a little bit of mandolin. My husband plays concertina, mandolin
(better than me) and bowed psaltery (a Unicorn Strings model) as well
as several of the above instruments. Although I miss performing at Festivals
for the people I both work with and entertain, I must confess I don't
miss the politics or the weather. Hope to see you at an upcoming gig. tatiana42@earthlink.net |

Elspeth Brown, Shop Worker - Elemental Clay, MRF Booth #332 I have been at the Renaissance most of my life, starting at my mom's
shop, Elementals, when I was knee-high to a grasshopper. After working
for her and others (including the Grey Mare, Lord of the Rings, and the
Alchemist) for many years, I became a self-employed nanny in 2000. I nannied
children between the ages of 3 months and 9 years. In 2005, I had to give
up nannying as I went to college and couldn't ensure my attendance at
Fest. Then, I went back to working (and playing) for my mother. |

Roxanne Brown, Shoppe Owner - Elemental
Clay, MRF Booth #332
Roxanne was born and raised in the central Minnesota area. After high school she studied at both Mankato State Univ. and St. Cloud State Univ. While her studies were in formal ceramics and pottery techniques, since becoming a full-time artist in 1990 she was developed her own style of sculpture that is technical while very playful. Undoubtedly Roxanne's greatest achievements have come while at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival where she owns and personally operates an award winning shop. Most recently, she was awarded the title of Artisan of the Realm at the festival. However if you ask Roxanne which of her achievements she is most proud of, she will most likely say her home and family. Viren Brown, her husband of 24 years, has recently began collaborating with Roxanne on a series pieces called elementals combining functional rustic woodworking and ceramic sculpture. Roxanne is a mother of four wonderful children. Oldest to youngest: Sarah, Dakota (Cody), August, and Elspeth. Through dedication, creativity, and sheer love, Roxanne has become very successful in both her family and her art. She is happily willing to discuss her art and her techniques to anyone who wishes to ask. Roxanne believes in putting a personal touch in every thing she does. Feel free to call, write, or e-mail. |

to be a responsible adult. |

Katya Brunette,
Court Revelers Rhapsody Everwell I began volunteering at the MN Festival for King of the Log in 2004.
The following summers my husband and I continued at King of the Log, which
was actually something his family had been doing since he was 5 yrs old.
I enjoyed my time there as a peasant but was thrilled when I learned in
Febuary 2007 that the Court Revelers were looking for a new first soprano.
I not only needed a new fancy costume but I would be singing virtually
all day long! I had a wonderful first year performing and I look forward
to every day of singing ahead. |

Corwin Brust, Musician I think it was 1988 that I first staggered thought auditions and academe
(thanks Garry Parker!) Since that time I've been stage crew for a couple
a stages, played in a couple of bands and held a few grid spots on my
own. For the most part I work closely with Erik W. Baker, when possible.
The 2001 season was the most fun I've been able to extract from the show.
The credit for this is, I think, largely due to enormous energy contributed
by The Royal Court, The Fairy Court and many, many other individuals and
groups. Either that or it's due to the talented, dedicated and clueful
cast of the Irish Cottage. Wow. I think it will be awhile before I doubt
my dedication to the show or to my MRFfriends. Thanks. Since 2005 I've
been playing with a new character, the self-styled "World Renown
Actor, Thespian and Orator: Omar teh Mute." In 2006 I rejoined with
Dee Duckwall (Cricket) to become the musical act "CHRIP." |

Guard I started working out at Minnesota around 1996 for Children's Trilogy
of Games, embarrassing small children and causing other mischief in the
area and continued doing so until 2000. 2001 was my first year with Entertainment.
Spent a year with two different groups and then moved on to Royal Guard,
you will see me around in red wool, working with the best group of guys
on the grounds (and Anj of course).
