Monday, March 26th

Today was a relaxed day without much planned. With Michael’s help, I bought a Sea Turtle pendant of gold inlaid with black opal to commemorate swimming with the turtles. Black Opal is really green and blue. Sea Turtles are green and the waters around Hawii are blue.

Later Dottie and I went snorkeling at two locations and we tried to feed the fish. You buy the food in a little tube of netting that is biodegradable and it’s supposed to open all by itself when it gets wet. Unfortunately both ends open if you are not careful and the fish go wild all around you. They then follow you for the rest of the day making it difficult to see them unless you have eyes in the back of your head.

At our second stop, Dottie had a bit of difficulty getting in the water as the surf was rather rough today. For about 5 minutes it kept knocking her down and rolling her at the edge of the water while we both laughed hysterically. Michael could hear us from his spot up the beach. That evening, our shower was filled with the sand that Dottie emptied out of her swimming suit. Dinner was at an outdoor oceanside seafood buffet.
