Carr Hagerman, Street The Rat Catcher Started festival in 1974 as a member of the Tree Top Theater Players, a storytheater group from Hopkins High. I became friends with Penn & Teller and changed from stage to street as the Ratcatcher in 1975. In 1979 I became the entertainment director of the Colorado Renaissance Festival, and then toured with as the Ratcather to festivals all around the country. 2000 is my 27th year! |

Elizabeth Hall, Musician Muireann ny Flaherty Back this year for new and wacky adventures... I find myself a Foundling
Mumbler of our new street theater rabble, the Fools Fact-shun, "special"-izing
in dim-witted tomfoolery, dubious talents, repetition, heatstroke, repetition,
and volume. Following the tried-and-true dictum that the key to success
is "location, location, location", we will be coming soon to
three places near you. Previous years have found me singing with Reve
du Faun and Macalla, entertaining in the Irish Cottage, dancing with the
Maypole girls, selling onion rings, chicken wings, pizza, flavored ices,
cream puffs, souvenirs, battered veggies, turkey legs, repetition, pop,
and lemonade, all the way back to 1990. |

Jef Hall, Stage Act Jef Hall (D' Angelo) is the baby of the group (1966). With a father in the Entertainment field, his early childhood was a little less normal (he has fond memories of being bounced on Rip Taylor's lap!) He's had extensive voice training since age 9 and it paid off when he sang in the Opera La Tosca a few years later. Four years of mime training led him to be a professional mime for awhile (We know, we're embarrassed too!) The Originator of the group, He joined forces with Riki in 1987. Besides being the "handsome and charming" Twin, and an accomplished Mime (he's even taught), he has a beautiful Singing voice, a flair for Stage combat, and is a great little Dancer too. |

Shawn Halli, King of the Log I have worked out at festival since partway through the 2000 season, after realizing that I knew a ton of people and wanted to keep playing. I joined up with King of the Log which so far has been a great place to have fun, with a variety of things to do. Last year I was privilaged to be in a few bits, the best of which were the various "drum jam set crew" bits...playing anything from bench thief (no, that is not a bench behind my back, I'm just happy to see you) to wild bench herder. This year (2002) I'm running through the academy so that I can get more in tune with being a character out there. Currently, I am working as Smythe, a confused peasant looking person...confused mostly because he doesn't recall anything prior to 3 seasons ago. So, if you see me before I get back, could you let me know I'm looking for myself.

I started working at Fest in '98 with CKC. Then I moved up a bit and worked for Children's Trilogy of Games. I got the name Serenity from a hawking bit I used to do at Big Bear Traveler's Shoppe. I work and live in Mankato. So I am not to far away from grounds. Hope to see everyone out there this season. |

Elizabeth Hanna, Minion - Bedlam Minstrels
(Minions don't have names)
I have been visiting MRF on and off for years, in 2001 I unofficially became one of two "minions" for the Bedlam Minstrels. Last year I had an assistant minion due to my fiancé aspiring to be a safety services worker. This year I will be returning for my third year as a minion along with my fiancé Patrick DuPaul. When I'm not minioning for Bedlam, I can be seen hanging out at Tim Malloys shows, working on their website trying to keep their schedule up to date. Helping my co-minion fix Big John's computer (or upgrade as the case may be) I'm also an avid gamer and a huge fan of festival. |

Melody Hanna, Court Revelers Melody Hanna joined the Court Revelers in 1999 as Maggie Mae Muirhead (pronounced morehead). Maggie is an Irish woman who met and fell in love with Michael, an English sailor. He was lost at sea, leaving his widow with five children to support. She spends her time singing in the pub, at the Feast Hall or generally wandering the grounds with other Revelers. |

Bryn Hanna-Powers, Street Patch, The Priestess of Mud I started festival in 97 informally working for one of the Pickle Men on sight (Greg). In 98 I went through training and started my first year on street. 2000 was (so far) my most awesome year. Patch was created for my first year as street and I love her dearly. She is probably staying with me for quite some time (at least until I get to old to do all the crazy stuff she does). She is utterly obsessed with mud puddle jumping, mud facials, and anything else involving mud. She generally wallows in filth and enjoys running around, playing, and working as little as possible. I see Patch as being basically a reflection of my crazy, impish inner child and I love to let her loose. Patch is named for her patch-work clothes: which also reflect her "profession" as a seamstress(Patch couldn't sew a straight seam even if she wanted to). She gets her jobs mainly from orphan boys who can sew even less than she can. Which of course means she is poorer than poor, because we all know how much money orphan boys have. If you ever want to find Patch, do one of two things: 1. find a mud puddle on a relatively dry day, she'll be by in a half hour at the most , 2. Find a place with either a lot of running room or a lot of things to make mischief with, she'll be by quickly enough. |

Kari Hanson, Former Festie The first time I visited the Minnesota Festival was in 1977. I fondly remember walking through the front gates, into an amazing storybook world unfolding and lifting right off the pages all around me. In that moment I secretly wished that someday I would be apart of this crazy and wonderful family. The rest as they say is history. I officially started working at the MN Ren Fest in 1999 as a Cigar Wench. I have also been a Guest performer at the Arizona Renaissance Festival in 2000 and 2001, the Colorado Renaissance Festival in 2000 and North Carolina Renaissance Festival in 2000. |
