Eric Clark,
Street & Vilification Tennis Lord Panzi, "Panaphobe at Large" I started Festival in 1996, on a whim, with Dan Hasselius. I performed
as Captain Marlowe, the straight man in the "wilsome and the captain
show" for seven years, then on my own for a year or so. In 2004 I
decided to make a change and became Lord Panzi, "Panaphobe at Large".
The man afraid of everything. In Minnesota, I have always worked in the
street and I would never do anything else. The street equals ultimate
freedom. Festival is the most rewarding thing I have ever done and I love
it and everyone involved in it from the bottom of my heart. It has changed
my life forever (in a GOOD way that is). |

she will paint blindfolded... and unfortunately for her sometimes falls
asleep while painting. So if you feel the need for a little art.. please
stop by and play! |

Joshua Cobb, Musician Gunnar Grimsson As of 2003, I am 24, married, and have three cats. I have always been
fascinated with old and powerful traditional music from many cultures,
especially it's relation to language and social structures. I primarily
play the Moraharpa (a 16th century keyed fiddle from Sweden), Swedish
Bagpipes (medieval, minor key) and the Oud (middle-eastern lute). I also
enjoy playing Scottish Shuttlepipes, the Ney (middle-eastern flute), the
Didgeridoo, Guitar, Penny Whistles in D and C, and two cheap flutes, one
from Cahokia in Illinois, and one from Nara, Japan, both of which play
on untempered scales, and by virtue of this make me more interested in
them. I am very grateful and excited for the opportunity to play music
in an unhibited stage, with all of the lovely players that I've met so
far. |

Marcus Coker, Court Revelers In 2003, I joined the ranks of the entertainment staff with the Court
Revelers as Valentine Lovell. I studied Theatre/Communications and Philosophy
at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. Throughout the season, Valentine
can be found doing any number of the following: -reciting sentimental
drip to the women of the realm -bludgeoning Hawkins with a barrage of
roses -lending his "stunt lips" to the ladies of the court -Tenoring
(demonstrations will be given on request) Personally, I would like to
thank two people. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be apart of this
amazing fellowship of friends. Kristen Lunzer, thanks for getting my foot
in the door, with the Court Revelers. Matthew Munt, a dearly departed
friend, thanks for introducing me to MRF in the first place. |

Wendy Colglazier, Buss Greeter Jasmyne I graduated from Academy in 1991, and was promptly seduced to work the Track for BJ Koppet and Jeff High. I meet Ben Colglazier the night before the 91 season started, and we married a year and a half later. Jasmyne began her life. I was a cheerleader at the Track for four years getting patrons at the far end to chant on cue, Blood And Guts (or Apple Peaches Pumpkin Pie). Educating patrons was also high on my list, mostly instructing them of the dreaded BBDs (Black Bugger Disease), and the fact that track dirt was not pure dirt. 1995 brought new life to Fest for me. I found myself working with David Dubois greeting busses er bus groups :p I found my new home! When I am not greeting groups, I can be found wandering, or crocheting somewhere. |

Margaret Conner-Messer, Bakery Stage Antonia Panini I started at the bakery stage as assistant stage manager (1985) for the first two years. I have had 7 husbands, all who have died for some reason or another. My first husband Rocco Mangoli choked on our wedding cake and died at the wedding. #2 Roso Rigetello was a smithy. He got into a tavern altercation a few days after our marriage and was gutted. #3 Alphonse Gambino was found in the river with a boulder chained to his ankle. We never really knew what he did for a living#4 Phillip Torusi was a cobbler. He fell of the boat on the way over to this knigdom . #5 Donald Christie was a Baker. He died of bad wine. Some say it was my cooking but I know it was the wine. #6 Richard Harris was a farmer. He died in bed. At least he died with a smile om his face. Husband #6 Mathew Wells, who was a carpenter. Was stampeeded to death by a wild herd of goats. I now have the title Black Widdow. Try catching a hsuband with that kind of reputation. My Daughters Sarah 11, and Meaghan 10 have been with me at the festival since they were two and three. I really love the family that I have out at the festival. I feel very lucky to have been given the oppertunity to be a part of this very special group of people. |

Laird Renny & Debbie Cormell, Costumer Dr. Renny & Lady Roma After several years of working at various faires (to see if we enjoyed
the traveling and faires), we were Hooked! We spent over 1 1/2 years designing,
sewing our clothing line, hunting for the most wonderful fabrics and then
more sewing. We enjoy spending time traveling to several large faires,
and meeting such a variety of "mostly" kind people. We like
to tell "bad", but NOT naughty jokes, love to help everyone
remember that they are in a "Village", not their stressful "real"
life. This is where they can come and unwind, watch Belly Dancers, see
some great shows and find some of the best creative talents of what "Made
In the U.S.A." truly is. blah, blah, blah : -) Our main goal is that
anyone who comes in to visit us, leaves with a smile, and perhaps an awful,
tasteful joke. |

Reuben Correa, Musician Prince Henrique of Portugal I started the Festival last year in 2002 after having an experience with it about 12 years ago. I finally got up enough nerve to go to the academy. I am visiting royalty hiding out from assassins to the royal family in Portugal. I can't imagine they'll ever find me here. I think by now my older brother has lost his head now its my younger brother's turn. I had a great time last year though it coincided with the first real(fake) job I've had in years and scheduling was very difficult. I was nominated for some kind of new rookie performance award which I unfortunately didn't win but alas I didn't know I was competing for it! You notice my massive burgundy with gold trim cloak and one of 3 harps two of which I built, depending on the weather. Come sign my friendship harp which has signers aged 3 - 104. (No you don't have to be that old.) I like to play by the gate to that big pottery place that is across from the house where they have parties. See how ignorant I am about names and places. Anyway I look forward to playing a bit more this year and getting to know many more of you. I perform medicinal music weekly at the Minneapolis and St. Paul Children's hospitals, in various units including the ICUs and emergency rooms. Eventually I'd like to do this full time. |

Dawn S. Cox - McCLain, Shakopee Jaycees Vyxn now, was The Bitch I was with the JC's in Dragons Pub. I lived in MN for several years and
became part of the festival around 1980 or so, first as a patron then
decided I wanted to work there. I joined the JC's and worked for them
for 3 years. I moved to TX now and miss everyone there very much, I will
be "coming home" as I call it to do my Hawking as I'm known
for so well! |

Callie Cox, Fencing Booth UMFC President 2004 working closely with the Fencing Booth first year
out at fest. I work for the booth occasionally its just not an every weekend
thing. |

Steve Cox, Street William Black (aka The Pirate King) I have been involved with the festival in various forms from patron to
performer since around 1980, I can be found roaming the streets with my
partner in crime "LILY" otherwise known as the "Wench in
Red" or "The Pirate Queen". Our goal for the realm is to
create memories and magic for any and all willing to play, and to touch
a child's soul with a bit of Renaissance magic like was done with so many
of us, so many years ago. You know that spark that got us all started
down this wonderful road! |

Alison Cromie,
Wandering Musician. Formerly Shakespeare's
Love Child and Pyrates of Portobello Caterina Francesca Stornelli, formerly Lady Kathryn Reynes aka "Lady Kate" I started festival in 2005 when I joined Shakespeare's Love Child as
one of their new altos. I was immediately hooked into festival life and
continued the next year by performing occasionally with The Pyrates of
Portobello. 2007 brought a new character and a new act... You can find
Caterina singing early Italian opera and late Renaissance songs around
the festival grounds, but most often down in the Enchanted Forest. She
loves to sit next to Merry Tone Manor and sing of life and love. Caterina
was nominated for Best Musical Act in 2007. Although she did not win,
the nomination was a great honor. In 2008 I released my self-titled album,
Caterina Francesca. I am also learning to play the lute and hope to start
accompanying myself over the next few years. |

Megan Culverhouse,
Safety Services Megan I started working at MRF 3 years ago (2002) when a friend of mine who
manages H&M Hammocks told me that he needed an extra booth worker.
I had never been to Fest before, but that did not deter me. Of course
I'll help out I said. Such began my long downward spiral. I worked Hammocks
2 years, and most recently have been working for La Petite Wardrobe (new
in 2005). After hours I a usually found in the SS backyard, hoping that
Mr. Jerry forgets that I don't really work there. I have worked a few
Faires in California (while on vacation) and have the honor of being an
at large member of the Alameda Town Criers Guild. While at the Danville
Faire, I had the honor of wining the ugliest bloomers contest. |

Donna Cunningham, Formerly of the Peacock Playerss I joined MRF in 1986 so I have been there a total of 16 years! I started off as a street singer. I have been with Clann Tartan (if you remember them!), Royal Court, back to street singer again, worked at Pavilion Stage and then produced a character know far and wide as Nana. She was the 5000+ year old hag, Nana to HRM Queen Katherine. My latest incarnation is as Musette D'Avignon, director of the Peacock Players, courtesan extraordinaire of Lord Fer Jestus, Marquis de Bretagne. Long title, I know but Musette is a saucy wench who can handle it. I have lots of theatre experience, including two degrees, much too much to put in here. But MRF has been the most rewarding and interesting of it all. I have even brought my son up out here...Bill, who is almost 19 now. So the magic continues. |
