Alexander Jerome Wick, Street?

His first year will be the 2000 festival season. He hasn't auditioned yet, but word is that he has an 'in' with the academy. Character name hasn't been decided yet, but we are pretty sure he wouldn't answer to it anyway, so what's the point.

Thomas O'Dison, Genius and proprietor of Mac's Pub

As of the 2001 festival season, I have officially been working at the MN Renaissance Festival for half of my life. A dubious accomplishment to be sure, but one I am proud of nonetheless. I am currently playing the owner of Mac's Pub, Thomas O'Dison. Along with a cast of "kin," we serve patrons good beer and pansy frou-frou drinks. We also do a lot of singing. Jeff Cahill and I perform a music act several times a day. He dazzles the audience with his wonderful guitar work while I drool and play the bodhran. In addition to working at Mac's, I run Vilification tennis, the closing gate show and Peasant sing along (which takes place at Mac's, but has been around a lot longer). I have also taught music and improvisation at the Festival academy for several years. I received my Unicorn award in 1996. This show is truly a part of my family. My wife, Pat has worked at the show longer than I have and our son, Alex was born in the middle of Vilification tennis in 1999. No - not on stage!

Fallon Mabh O'Shay

The Mayor's Entourage gave me my personal quote in 2001... "You know, you're not nearly as innocent as you look." - James Melin Continuing my proud tradition of fooling people into thinking I'm sweet and innocent, I have finally achieved my dream for performing at fest and I will now be singing with the O'Shay family (Black Velvet Band). When not performing with them, I can and usually will be seen behind Front Gate, hanging out with loveable lepurs (gotta love those Morris Dancers) or the Mayor's Entourage, at Vil Ten (I'm an avid fan and hope to one day compile my own little book of insults as well), or at Closing Gate and in the Mermaid Kickline. I joined this merry act in '99 with CKC (yes... I know you're sorry), but moved to Entertaiment as a street character for 2000. In 2001, I decided I needed the money more than I wanted to be able to run around, so I went back to CKC (yes... I know I was stupid). However, due to a bribe at the costume shoppe the previous year, I had an in with Mayor's Entourage and played with them when my shift got off with CKC (My mom worked in Costume Shoppe that year and helped me change costumes). For 2002, I was Lady Artisan's Hawker and Parade Walker. In 2003, I was a parade walker for Enchanted Images and Leather Rose as well as trying to balance shifts at the Fencing booth. Fried out from that, I devoted myself to the Fencing booth in 2004... However, that didn't agree with my attitude, so I watched the singing groups auditions notices on the ListServe until I joined Black Velvet Band (not for lack of trying to join other groups). Hope to see you out there! Just look for a girl in brown with a recorder in hand that answers to Fallon.

Kristine Williams, Games

Worked for Children's Trilogy two years ago ('99) (and will be again this year) and got hooked. I've been going to fest off and on for the past 10 years (I can actually let off some steam there :) Tentative character is English lady who got dragged to Scotland by her arrogant husband who was subsequently killed returning to England to settle affairs there. She then fell in love with a local Scottish laird (i.e. my soul mate) and the rest (will eventually be) . . . history. Don't know where you'll find me this year other than CTG, you'll just have to find me. I've been told that my voice carries quite away across the grounds so if you hear some woman telling the "lords and ladies" about the bravery of a small child, it just might be me. Other than that, I'm pretty much your average person, work too much, can't read enough, aspiring novelist (although I have poetry that has been published) etc. (photo courtesy of and copywritten by At The Faire, http://www.atthefaire.com )

Mieux Williamsen, Shop Worker ~ MacGregor Games
Mieux

I started working at MNRF in 2005 at Royal Exchange Jewelers. I've been one of the many beautiful, feisty, loud mouthed, bawdy gaming hall wenches at MacGregor Games since 2006. I love playing the games that we sell and can often be found at one of the pubs around S. Mpls, with backgammon or Fidchell in front of me and a crew of MacGregor shop folk around.

I started doing rennaisance festivals a couple of years ago. The festivals I have worked are in Missouri. This past year I played the part of one of the gypsy dancers for KCRF. Enjoying myself immensely when I found out I would be moving to your area. I talked to the people who came down to KCRF after your faire was closed for the year and decided I needed to know more. So here I am.

His Royal Highness, Puph, Friend of the Court of Their Royal Majesties, Henry & Katherine and Piecemeal the crabby fairy

I went to my first fest when it all started in the town of Jonathan. Some news paper article prompted my mother to want to go so I have been at least once every year of the festival. I even have some of the tickets I bought all those years ago (pack rat that I am). After I got my drivers license I went 3 to 5 times a year. I always knew it was a special place and that somehow I belonged. When I took Robert he suggested we get jobs out there (how I thought?). Well we know Robert, he introduced himself to a couple of crafters and before you know it we had jobs for the next season. After that we were encouraged to try-out for street, did academy and entered one of the best part of my life. I had found a place where I belonged full of wonderful people. We even won "Best New Act." Robert and I play the princes Puph and Phluff for many years. More recently I've begun to play Piecemeal the crabby fairy which I enjoyed immensely. This year I will return to being a "boothie " but will still entertaining around cart wheel cove and the secret garden. I look forward to many more years at fair and am curious to see what changes the future brings (a new site possibly?). Love to you all Steven

I joined the MRF summer of 2003 at Dueling Buckets. There I work with 2 of my cousins, Jason and Anastasia. I'm usually hollering at patrons, and being rude. After all... the Scottish are not known for their fair manners.

I started attending the MRF in 1988 when my senior class decided to do a Renaissance dinner and performance for the community and field tripped to MRF to get some ideas. I was an addict for many years after going no less than three times a year. Finally, I moved down to the Twin Cities and with the support of my friends, Bethany Davidson and Jeff McNair, interviewed, was accepted, and graduated academy. I have been a street character of one form or another since 1993. My first character out there was "Nutzo." This year I will be cavorting amongst a gypsy group.
