Melissa Kaercher, My memory has fogged considerably, but I believe I joined the MRF in 1990, helping out with Children's Trilogy of Games. Then, silly me, I worked for CKC for about five years before I came to my senses and joined forces with Kat Hanson at Kat in the Hat.

Jennifer Kanz, Shop Worker Rosselyn I started working fest in 2008 as a Lady Rider for the Joust. After that
I worked for Christopher O'Brien at his booth. This will be my second
year. Don't have a character developed, just wear pirate clothing. I can
be found at the Magickally Interwined booth next to King of the Log. I
am engaged to Atuq Matango, he is Quechua from Ecuador and currently visiting
in the U.S. (and looking for something to do while I am working at Fest). |

Erin Kasper,Street & Bakery
Stage Biological sister of Anna Maria Estella Elanora Maria Panini. Currently touring the village looking for suitable maids for her sisters. Those found unsuitable seem to mysteriously disappear. We do not ask questions. Any found offending the Sisters suddenly find pressing business elsewhere after chatting with Sophia. She makes killer lasagna, loves pet rocks, and lime green and pink shoe laces. The floggings will continue until moral improves! |
Jeff Kasper, Former Festie ~ Dew Drop Juggler I started festival in 1989. I'm 1/3rd of The Dew Drop Jugglers. We're
on the Bakery stage five times a day & appear at most Feasts. We're
also regulars at closing gate. I love the festival! It is a magical place
with a unique energy created & maintained by the entertainers, crafters,
& patrons. I look forward to August every year. |

Susie Kaster, Street Jasmyn Underhill 2004 was my first year on street. You can find Jasmyn belly dancing,
reading feet, or selling people, amongst other things. I had a great time
my first year on the streets with my partner in crime Janessa Mcddaugh,
and I look forward to returning in 2005! I have been going to Fest every
year of my life (don't ask me how long, because that will give away my
age!). My parents used to have a booth, I worked at CKC for 1 year in
high school, and now I am acting and dancing on the streets! If Jasmyn
hears a drum beat, she is compelled to start dancing! To not dance would
be torture for her! |

Susan Kay, Stage Act Mistress Bawd I joined the family of the MRF in 1980. I was part of the first group to go through the academy. Mistress Bawd, the Madam was created my second year. I wanted to sing more up beat bawdy songs rather than the sweet ballads I had been singing so I could catch the peoples attention and hope for better staging and tips. The Top of the Blue Lion Tavern, All The Way Inn became my hang out with the gals. We would pose on the railing flirting and looking pretty. We were always classy! and we were always ladies! I miss those days. Also in 1980 I went to the TX Ren Festival for the first time. I was quite young and foolish. My fondest memories of that experience was the way the guys from the MRF looked out for me. They were my big brothers. Protecting me mostly from myself. I was only 20. I also Played Mistress Bawd at the Sprit of the Mountain Festival in Duluth. 1982 I think. Well, February 1983 I was offered a job working for Bonnie Lantz and Craig Dale at the TRF build booths, help them with there Stain Glass Business. I stayed at the TRF again as Mistress Bawd threw the 86 season performing 6 shows a day at the Boars Head Inn, then came home for good. I only meant to take a year or two off from Ren Fest. but I didn't come back until the 1997 season. And I am glad to be home! Now, I am off for other Festivals to promote my CD Recording "Mistress Bawd A touch of Renaissance." I feel very fortunate to share the stage, hay, mud and so on with so many talented people. misbawd@mn.rr.com |

Scott Keever, Former Festie
Started working at MRF working in a craft shop during 1992 - '94. In 1995, joined up with the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Then proudly served The Fencing Booth in 1996 & 1997. I'm most often associated as a musician, although I have never served MRF in that capacity (except after hours). Performed (at least to my knowledge) the first Bass solo at the 1996 Talent Show. Still have many friends who work and perform at MRF....

Lisa M. Keith, Playtron ~ Fest Friends Lisee the Dragon Lady This picture was taken last year. I am a season pass holder and belong to Fest Friends. Last year, I signed for Fitz the Toad and am doing so again this year. I have completed 4 Semesters of Sign Language and have volunteered to
hand out coupons at a few of the parades. I carry a female dragon called
Ehzy and have fun playing with the kids and telling them stories. |

Bryn Kelly,
Front Gate ~ Peasant Patch, Dirty Peasant I started festival in 97 informally wo rking for one of the Pickle
Men on sight (Greg). In 98 I went through training and started my
first year on street. I believe 2002 was my first year at the Front Gate.
My character, Patch, was created for my first year as street and I love
her dearly. She generally wallows in filth and enjoys running around,
playing, and working as little as possible. I see Patch as being basically
a reflection of my crazy, impish inner child and I love to let her loose.
Patch is named for her patch-work clothes: which also reflect her "profession"
as a seamstress(Patch couldn't sew a straight seam even if she wanted
to). She gets her jobs mainly from street urchins who can sew even less
than she can. Which of course means she is poorer than poor, because we
all know how much money street urchins have. Beyond running around and
being silly, I do work at the Front Gate as well (for the last four years,
I think). You can typically see me balancing programs on my head and trying
to talk at the same time. One of these days I'll try chewing gum as well.
My latest fun activity was thought up by the theives. Recently, there
was a large chess board built near Mac's Pub. Because Saturday at around
5 o'clock gets a little boring, I started joining a bunch of people at
the chess board in some good fun taunting of the chess players. I have
since been cooking up more ways to make the chess game fun, and trying
to make it look more like a sporting event. Come check out the rediculous-ness
some time! Beyond the little fun stuff, my main goal at Fest for the next
few years is going to be getting more peasants out there. You know, like
real, dirty, fun-loving, straight-up peasants. I will be trying to form
a group with the idea that each of them is really bad at their occupation
(similar to Patch). If you ever feel like converting to the way of the
peasant (greatly recommended) feel free to come see me at the Front Gate,
or email me. Attached is a Compilation of Essays written by MRFfriends ListServe members
on The Joy of Peasantry. |

Rachael Kelly, Traveler's Booth
I have lived in Minnesota for 10 years and visited the Ren Fest a few
times. This year I decided I would work it! I can be found near the jousting
area selling fine pottery and telling parents if they loved thier children,
they would buy something for them. |

Tate Kelly, Street Elizabeth Aldridge, Runaway I started in 2003 at a family friend's food booth. After two years of
that, I became restless and went through academy in 2005. I now do street
with my friend Alyssa Vongries, and I plan on participating in the MRF
for the 2005 and 2006 season. |

Elisa Kelsey,
Terpsichory Dance Troupe Liliana Thomson This year I will be playing Liliana, daughter of a Scottish baron, run
away to join up with a group a dancers. |

Emily Kemkes, CKC
I started at fest in 1999 with CKC. I worked in a few food booths and
had some of the best years of my life out at fest working in those booths.
I then went on to work for Concessions for a few years but that really
wasn't for me. I now work in CKC check-in working as Personnel support
I guess. I am looking at working in Special Events next year though...
We will see :) |

Patricia Kern, Information Booth I had been hanging around MRF as a patron since 1982. In 1997, I had
the opportunity to work in the information booth. So now, as long as I'm
going to be there anyway, I can (sometimes) be useful. |
