Tonya Nall,
The Dregs Moira Odison / The Irish Girl from Closing Gate I work at Mac's Pub and in the street. Most of the time I'm yelling about people being Scottish. I sing too. Me and the Pub Kin (the singing group I'm with) have many shows during the day and we even have groupies! We argue a lot (hey, we're Irish), but the King thinks were pretty neat. Come by and have a pint. Sorry, we're out of whiskey. |

Napiorkowski, Stage ~ The Riddle
Booth Dr. Phineas Ampersand Wizard I was recruited into the festival in '80, by my college chums (Terry Foy a.k.a. Zilch, Todd Menton a.k.a. Ho. And by my pre-ex wife a.k.a. Kim Smith, (later known as our own Queen Katherine ('90 to '94? - I have a pretty healthy pedigree.) I graduated with the first Renaissance Festival Academy that same year. Although my characters have mostly been of the wizardly nature, Valdamir '80, Gandalf '81 & '83 (we had a "Hobbit" stage show way back then), Merlin '84, and finally Math (now known as Dr. Phineas Ampersand Wizard, from '86 to the present. I also worked at the Irish Cottage in 1985, as Willie O'Brennan. Dr. Wizard, as I am most often called, started writing and telling riddles in '88, when I wanted to get the patrons to work a little more for their entertainment and not to expect dopey little tricks. (Okay, so I'm now teaching the dopey tricks to children at our Wizard school.) ;p I found I had a knack for these metaphorical hyperbolizes and really enjoy a challenge. So if you come across a good one come and riddle with the Wizard or E-mail it to me. In the real world, I work as the theatre technician for St. Cloud State
University Dept of Theatre, Film Studies & Dance, and as a freelance
Artist & Theatrical Designer. I act when ever I have time and have
performed rolls ranging from Macduff in Macbeth, DeGuishe in Cyrano, to
John Proctor in The Crucible (If you're casting, a resume is available
upon request.) Napiorkowski@stcloudstate.edu

Ashley Nave, Street When I was four years old my mom got all dressed up to go out with her
friends. When I asked her where she was going she said she was going to
the MN Renaissance Festival and she wasn't taking me because I wouldn't
like it. She brought me back one of those incredible bubble wands that
made bubbles the size of your head and a little medallion from wining
one of the games with the year stamped on it; 1985. I started in 93 at
King of the Log at the ripe old age of 12. In 94 I auditioned and became
part of Entertainment. I started at Irish Cottage as a milkmaid named
Elaine Muldoon. In 96 I auditioned for the Royal Court and to my surprise
I got in. I played their princess for five years. In 2001 George Herman
quit and in the upheaval that followed I thought it would be best to try
my hand at street, something that I had always wanted to do. I started
with Bo Peep the shepardess but soon found out that I did not enjoy being
a solo character. In 02 I became a gypsy named Bella. 03 I was feeling
a little disillusioned with faire and I took a year off. I realized during
my year off that I truly loved faire. There is no where that I felt more
safe or loved, so in 04 I came back with the new idea that if the magic
was no longer there, I would make new magic. I decided that year to form
a group. In 05 my group, The Muses, was formed. Together we made our year
magical and I hope that the moments that we shared make wonderful memories
for everyone who came through our gate. |

Michael Nazzal, Stage Act ~ Black Velvet
Band Jacob the Minstrel 2003 was my first year working the Festival. I was the coordinator of
The Black Velvet Band along with 4 young ladies. We did primarily Celtic
music. I also wandered the entire site serenading patrons as the opportunity
arose. I hope to return next year performing every day. (As a newlywed,
I was limited to 9 days this year.) |
