April-J Lagarde, Street I have been a patron since 1991, and began my playtron years in about
1997. 2001 Children's Trilogy, Shop Worker 2002 with the Peacock Players broadened my character to be Evangelina Contessa Lasine Originale Franchessca Bananafana Bobessca Le Quatrieme, "but you can call me Eve."Since 2003 Eve has slowly transformed into a completely silent (except when keeping my kids from running away) smiling, and waving girl of mystery. It's so much fun to make people turn red, or even run away! Please do not hesitate to stop and play with us. We are just a group of kids playing in the dirt after all. 2003 (to current) Street |

Tricia Lahndorf, Shop Worker ~ Children
Trilogy and Pterodactyl Leather Lily Valparosa - Red Wench for Hire I was invited to my first festival in 2001 by my best friend. I fell
in love with everything the minute I walked through the gates! The first
year was one time, the second was three weekends, now I drive to MRF from
Iowa every weekend to see my friends, MRF family and engage in a true
realm of fantasy and fun. I am usually dressed in red from head to toe
with feathers and jinglies! Walk up and say hello and you will be greeted
with a smile that doesn't stop. See you all soon i! n my "happy place"
until then good tiddings to you all. HAZZAH!!! |

Angelina M. Lais, Musician Josephine Marie O'Dison I started singing with the Dregs at Macs Pub in 2006 as a last minute
member change. Now they're stuck with me. My character Jo has a tendency
to stick things in her nose, play with maracas, speak Spanish, spend time
in the Privies and fall (which all happen to be things I do... coincidence?
you decide) |

Dave Lake, Stage & Court Revelers I innocently wandered into Festival grounds in 2000 as a guest of my girlfriend (then the Moldavian Contesa/Domna of Suceava in the Royal Court; later one of the Dancing Ammala Sisters). At some point I blinked, and now my girlfriend is my wife, I own a jack, and leather boots, and I know what a functional codpiece is. Apparently I've been an Entertainer for the last two seasons. I am Kalo Balalo (that's "Dark Hairy One" in Romany). Not that anyone ever notices drummers, but I can ! be seen following around The Dancing Ammala Sisters, occasionally rhythmically banging things. When I'm not doing that, I sing with The Court Revelers. Ah, dust in the throat ... |
|||
Mark Lakowske, Royal Court Master Oliver Higgins, Tailor to her Majesty & the Royal House I have been coming out to fest for a long time. Clay Lamkin, HCML the III, Stage Act
~ Ten Seconds of Harmony Roland the (Forsaken) Scotsman I have been attending the Minnesota Renaissance Festival since the early
90's, I was introduced to the experience by my father. Becoming more involved
each year, I began dressing in costume and interacting with both actor
and patron alike. Having marched in the parade for Ruth Thompson's Tarnished
Images and dressing as a Nazgul Ringwraith and chasing (and being chased
by) Hobbits, it was inevitable that I would become an official member
of the Minnesota Renaissance Cast. So in the 2004 season I joined the
ribald "laughin', lovin', singin'" group as a scotch loving
scotsman cast out of his highland home for rather...licentious circumstances
and was henceforth taken in by his brothers in lechery, Spew, Bartholemew,
Ferdinand, Anjou, and Lancaster (AKA TSOH) Claymore@ffonline.zzn.com |

Gene Landry, Former Festie ~ Realm of the Fae I applied to Erin to bring my established character of Oberon to the festival and develop the "Faerie Realm" like I did for the Texas Renaissance (I'm a 7 year vet there). The show was VERY popular down there and I hope it will be as well received up here. I play Oberon the Magnificent, King of the Fae. We'll be developing a cast of fantasy characters to fill out the Enchanted Court over the next few years (we're still looking for Faeries for this year, email me if anyone is interested). We have a new production company called 'the red dilemma'. |

Kelly Larson, Street ~ Peasant I joined MRF in 1996 as a Kit. I started on track and have moved to Street where I am at home. I am a widow in training, and can be found carring 50 feet of rope or so. Which comes in handy for oh so many things. The Widow and I often play games or have races about the festival, Kit always wins! |

Sean M. Larson,
The Dregs & Vilification Tennis Ian Cauly/ Scuttle After passing through the Academy, I became Ian Cauley, the Irish apprentice to the good German arms master, Gunther. During the second-to-last weekend, Ian was part of the Mush conspiracy, and was acting as watch while one of our Royal Guard was knifed. Later on Ian was killed by none other than Sir Guy. Well, that provoked a change in character, and I became Scuttle, one of the densest people I've ever had the opportunity to come across. I was also one of those insane Privy Revelers, and Pam was right. There's nothing quite like seeing a double-take from inside of a privy. Well, after the Festival ended, I became Igor for the Trail of Terror. Outside of Festival, I am actually a theatre major at the U of M (I know, just another Gopher turned Festie), and am currently in my junior year. |

Phil Laughton, Playtron
I've been going to the Renaissance Festival obsessively since the start
of the 1999 season. I tend to lurk about, causing general mischief when
at all possible, and enraging people with kindness, annoyance, or both.
In spite of the illusion otherwise, no, I don't work here. |

Ginger LaVan, CKC- Travelers Booths Mamaspice I visited the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in 1995 and 1996 at my daughter's
request for her birthday. WE LOVED IT! We all worked Fest 1997, and I
was hooked! I have been in a Travelers Booths ever since, my past 3 years
in the Bear Booth selling t-shirts and pottery where I can usually be
seen wearing "something purple". I am running the "Hugging
Booth" as we have been called these past 4 years starting with the
Princess Booth in front of Bad Manor. I have tagged my workers with Official
Hugger pins in 2005. Although we are not handing out any pins, we welcome
all tryouts! Come on over for a hug sometime! |
