The Adventures of Robin Hood

The Adventures of Robin Hood has been a staple at the Festival for quite a long time, now. In its present form, it features Don Preston as Robin Hood and David Runeborg as Little John. Add a wooden bridge, a pond, and a whole lot of stage combat with quarterstaffs, swords, and fists, and you have a lot of happy, soaked-to-the-skin patrons. Both David and Don have been doing the show now for over ten years, and Chris Jason was added playing Friar Tuck in the 2001 season.

On a good day, David can soak the first four rows, with water going back as far as the eighth row. We pride ourselves on being one of the shows at the Festival that is great for the entire family - as we put it, "We only tell one adult joke and nobody gets it anyway!" You can also find Robin, John, and Tuck at the front gate between their second and third show most days, and in the parade, of course.
